Education in the Interior Design Program has started in the 2019-2020 Academic Year.

The Interior Design program is an educational program that aims to design living spaces, workplaces and social areas in accordance with human needs by combining aesthetics and functionality. This program aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in topics such as interior design, ergonomics, color and light harmony, material selection, three-dimensional modeling, drawing techniques and decoration. Graduates can work as experts in interior design in design offices, architectural firms, the furniture sector and individual projects. The program aims to train professionals who can develop innovative, creative and sustainable design solutions that are suitable for sectoral requirements.

• Course Contents / Course Catalog

Double Major Program: Allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a field they are interested in, in addition to their primary field. In this program, students can complete courses in two different fields and earn a diploma in both fields.

Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.

Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive an Associate's Degree in Interior Design. Graduates of the program graduate with the title of "Interior Design Technician".

Those who successfully complete the associate degree program of the Department of Interior Design can continue their education in the following 4-year undergraduate programs if they receive sufficient points in the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted every year by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM): They can vertically transfer to undergraduate programs such as Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Architecture, and Traditional Turkish Arts.

Students who graduate from the Interior Design program can be employed as technicians, designers, authorized controllers, managers, production and planning officers, project personnel, administrative assistants in interior architecture and architectural offices, businesses that design and produce furniture, construction and engineering offices, restoration companies, decoration companies, or they can open their own businesses.
